On the latest Open Studio With Jared Bowen, Jared talks with playwright Mike Lew about his audio adaptation of Huntington Theatre Company's successful 2016 comedy, Tiger Style!. The audio play, co-presented by GBH and the Huntington Theatre Company, will air Saturday night at 6pm on GBH 89.7 and here on GBH.org. Saturday's broadcast is also in collaboration with the Massachusetts Restaurant Association, encouraging audiences to pick up takeout from their favorite restaurants to enjoy while listening to the audio play at home. Also in this episode, Jared speaks with renowned field guide, artist and author David Sibley about an exhibition at the Museum of American Bird Art featuring original works from his recent book, What It’s Like to Be a Bird. This exhibition displays Sibley's delightful original art from the book, accompanied by captions with fascinating new scientific research about birds. Visitors will see more than 40 of Sibley's paintings, including 29 bird portraits painted double life-size.
