  • The beloved host of the GBH program A Celtic Sojourn Radio continued his program and many events, even after receiving a diagnosis of terminal brain cancer.
  • GBH Music and JazzBoston present JazzNOW: Shaping the Sound of Jazz, featuring the innovative trio "Hum” led by pianist/keyboardist Nina Ott, along with drummer Chris Lopes, and John McKenna on sax and electronic sculpture percussion. Three improvisers collectively explore music in traditional and unconventional ways, live at GBH Fraser Performance Studio in Brighton.
  • DVinci Soul is a 4-8 piece Motown and Soul band that is most known for their soulful harmonies, lively horns, tight rhythm section, and for inspiring people of all ages to get up and dance. Playing in and around the Boston area since 2016, DVinci Soul covers their own blend of danceable Motown, soul, jazz, jump blues and classic R&B tunes from Stevie Wonder, Aretha, Earth Wind and Fire, Tower of Power, and Marvin Gaye to newer bands like Lake Street Dive, Amy Winehouse and the California Honeydrops.

  • Juan Nieves keeps the folkloric Puetro Rican musical tradition alive. His cuatro, the national instrument of Puerto Rico, has accompanied him in more than 15 countries worldwide. Throughout his 24-year career, Juan has produced three albums and many singles. His music has been featured in various films, and he has shared the stage with renowned artists such as Richie Ray and Bobby Cruz, Ismael Miranda, Tony Succar, and more. Juan is the fifth cuatro player to graduate from Berklee College of Music. Juan leads his own projects, “Juan Nieves & Legado Orchestra” and “Legado Records.”
