Please note: As of August 2023, all GBH public and private studio tours are on hold until further notice due to current uncertainties related to COVID-19. The health and well-being of GBH Volunteers and our community is, and always will be, a TOP priority. We will post updates to this page once tours resume.
To ensure the safety of GBH employees, volunteers and guests, visitors on the public tour will need to check in personal belongings. Best to keep valuables at home or locked in your car. All items are subject to be screened by security upon arrival.
Walk-in public tours
As of July 1, 2018, public tours are offered every Wednesday at 11am. This tour is recommended for ages 16 and up. The 45-minute tour begins in the Metcalf Lobby at One Guest Street, Brighton. Scheduled guided private group tours are available Tuesday through Thursday at 11am. A group may be a minimum of five persons and a maximum of 30 per tour. Tours run for 45 minutes. Reservations are required four weeks in advance.
Please complete our Group Tour Request form. You will receive an email notification that your request has been received and shortly thereafter, a confirmation of your tour. We do our best to accommodate all tour requests.
Please note: We recommend calling in advance to confirm the tour is scheduled. Please contact 617-300-4211 during normal business hours.

We are not currently offering children's tours. We offer sporadic family tours for small groups. If you'd like to be contacted when we offer our next family tour, please email

If you would like to take a tour as a family to receive a patch or badge, please reference the public tours. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate a full troop on our public tours.
