Stephanie Leydon
Executive Producer, Digital Video
Stephanie Leydon is the executive producer of digital video, where she leads the innovation of video news on GBH News’ YouTube channel.
Before taking on this role, Stephanie served for two years as the director of special projects developing and leading key multi-platform newsroom editorial efforts including Priced Out: The Fight for Housing in Massachusetts and COVID and the Classroom, a yearlong look at the impact of the pandemic shutdowns on high school seniors. She also served as the editorial supervisor for The Big Dig, the acclaimed podcast series.
Stephanie joined GBH News in 2014 as a reporter and was promoted to senior editor in 2018. Her television and radio reporting has aired nationally on NPR, PRI’s The World, The World Channel and The PBS Newshour.
Earlier in her career she worked as a television news anchor and reporter at WLVI-TV in Boston, WMUR-TV in Manchester, NH and WMGT-TV in Macon, GA. Stephanie has earned National Education Writers Association, Clarion, New England Emmy, NABJ and Edward R. Murrow awards. She holds a BA degree from Bates College.
