**Phuc Tran** majored in Classical Languages and Literature at Bard College and obtained his Master’s Degree at University of Massachusetts Amherst. Shortly after graduation he moved to New York City in 1997 to be a tattoo apprentice while teaching Latin during the day. In 2012, he delivered a TEDx talk which was highlighted by NPR’s TED Radio Hour.
