Juliet Bellow is a professor of art history at American University. Her scholarly research focuses on the relationship between art and dance in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. She is currently at work on a book entitled *Embodying Modernism: The Ballets Russes and the Visual Cultures of Interwar Paris*, which analyzes set and costume designs by Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Sonia Delaunay, and Giorgio de Chirico for Serge Diaghilev’s Ballets Russes troupe.
