Judith Shulevitz is an author, journalist, and cultural critic. She is a regular contributor to The New York Times, as well as an editor with a passion for starting or helping to start magazines. She has written columns in Slate and The New York Times Book Review, and contributed pieces to magazines such as The New Yorker and The New Republic.
