Jim Parke

priest, Diocese of Pittsburgh

Father Jim Parke was ordained a Roman Catholic Priest on May 1, 1965 for the Diocese of Pittsburgh. He holds a degree in Philosophy from Saint Vincent’s College and a Master’s in Theology from Saint Mary’s Seminary and University. After 10 years in seminary work, he has ministered in the Diocese of Richmond since 1975, and is presently Pastor of the Church of the Ascension in Virginia Beach and Roman Catholic co-pastor of Holy Apostles, an Episcopal/Roman Catholic Church. Father Parke serves as Vice-President of the Virginia Council of Churches, Vice-Chair of the Human Rights Commission, Virginia Beach, Board Member for Meals on Wheels in Virginia Beach, and secretary for the Richmond Diocesan Ecumenical/Interfaith Commission.
