Gary Kammerer
Accessibility Analyst
Gary Kammerer is one who believes that accessibility is the gateway to information and is used to provide opportunities for persons with disabilities. Gary is a screen-reader user and a braille reader, who passionately believes that braille is literacy. He comes from humble beginnings, graduating with an associate degree from Louisiana Delta Community College. He has dedicated himself to positioning the blind community to capitalize on their strengths by leveraging accessibility and technology. He has worked with United Vision Connect, an international group of blind persons from across the globe that advocate for inclusion and opportunities for blind persons. He has also created classes in which he walked students through the Trusted Tester Program via the Jamaica Society for the Blind as well as others across the diaspora. In short, he believes that accessibility is the key to prosperity and inclusion of all people.
