Dana Beth Miller

Dana Beth Miller makes her Boston debut in the Boston Lyric Opera's *Carmen*. She won first place in both the 2006 Classical Singer National Vocal Competition and the 2004 Jensen Foundation Competition, and took third place in the 2003 Opera Index Career Grant Competition; the 2003 Loren L. Zachary National Vocal Competition and the 2004 Eleanor Lieber Awards at Portland Opera. Ms. Miller sang Musetta in *La boheme* at New York City Opera; debuted with the Seattle Opera as Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni; performed the First Lady in *Die Zauberflote* for Portland Opera and covered the same role for the Metropolitan Opera. She also sang the role of Desdemona in Verdi's *Otello* with Des Moines Metro Opera and Sacramento Opera. Engagements for the 2009-2010 Season include the world premiere of Cory Ratcliff's *Ode To Common Things* with the Austin Symphony; Santuzza in *Cavalleria Rustican*a with Pensacola Opera; and a return to Tulsa Opera for Dulcine in Massenet's *Don Quichotte*.
