Dan Lothian is the Editor-in-Chief, GBH News and The World. He also lectures on Journalism, ethics and news literacy at Northeastern University in Boston. Prior to joining The World, Lothian was a White House Correspondent at CNN where he also covered political campaigns and breaking news during his more than decade long run at the network. Lothian was a key member of CNN’s Peabody Award-winning “best political team on television.” He covered the 2004, 2008 and 2012 presidential races traveling with more than a half dozen candidates. His award-winning career has taken him to more than 50 countries including Israel, Myanmar and Colombia. Lothian started in radio as a teenager, worked in local TV stations across the country, then launched onto the national stage as a correspondent with NBC News, the Today Show and MSNBC.
