Chiquita Paschal

Before landing at WGBH, Paschal was an editorial and production assistant at NPR News in Washington, DC, where she churned out stories about politics, technology, culture and international affairs for Morning Edition, and Tell Me More with Michel Martin. She first came to Boston to cover the aftermath of the Marathon bombings at WBUR for Here and Now and On Point with Tom Ashbrook.
In 2013, Paschal was the recipient of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting's Executive Fellowship and spent a year traveling, researching, writing and consulting about the future of public media.
Paschal’s public radio career began at KUNM in Albuquerque, NM, managing a youth media organization as an AmeriCorps VISTA. She also reported on art and culture in the 'Land of Enchantment’ for the regional alt-weekly The Alibi. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, Paschal's journey began when she left her hometown and graduated from Hamilton College in Clinton, NY in 2010 with a degree in art and philosophy.
