High School Quiz Show Host: Billy Costa

Emmy award-winning radio and television personality Billy Costa is the host of High School Quiz Show®.

Costa has been entertaining radio audiences on KISS 108 weekday mornings for the past 30 years and currently co-hosts “Billy & Lisa in the Morning”. He is also co-host of “Dining Playbook”, a televised restaurant review and lifestyle show on NESN. In 2017, Billy was inducted into the Massachusetts Broadcaster Hall of Fame.

Inspired by the original College Bowl, a popular televised quiz bowl that dates back to the 1960s, High School Quiz Show emphasizes the importance of academics. For Costa, hosting a program that showcases high school students is a natural fit, and not his first foray into working with teens on television. Early in his career, he earned a Children’s Television Award for “Rap Around”, a talk show on WBZ that focused on teen issues.

Costa is an alumnus of the Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School in Cambridge, MA and Emerson College in Boston, MA.
