Boston, Cambridge and Somerville have similar rules and regulations when it comes to waste disposal, including a state requirement about recycling mattresses and curbside pick-up, which generally comes with a fee and must be scheduled.
The Massachusetts House passed a bill that would curb book banning in libraries and set-standards for when a book might be removed from circulation. A similar bill already passed in the Senate. When ready, the legislation is expected to be sent to Governor Maura Healey for review.
