The Massachusetts Republican Party took an unusual step this week, urging residents of the First Suffolk District to vote against a Boston woman running for one of 80 seats on its party’s state committee and condemning what it called her "reprehensible rhetoric" and "vile language." That's after a social media post that included transphobia, homophobia and a call for the expulsion of Jewish people. It marks the second time the party has condemned the candidate, Lori Kauffman.

The Mass. GOP state committee last December adopted a resolution urging her not to run, a move the party said at the time reflects its commitment "to maintaining an inclusive political environment." Mass. GOP Chair Amy Carenvale joins Katie Lannan to discuss how she envisions that building inclusive environment, what it means to be a Massachusetts Republican in 2024 and the mood heading in to Super Tuesday.
