Leading up to the 50th anniversary of busing in Boston, a group of educators and community leaders — many who were involved in the initiative a half century ago — are taking a look back at the racist and violent time. Now, they say that the promised educational improvement haven’t been realized.

Two of the Boston Desegregation and Busing Initiative’s members, Ira Jackson, who served as chief of staff to then-Boston Mayor Kevin White, and Milly Arbaje-Thomas, CEO of METCO, join host Katie Lannan on Talking Politics to discuss the project.
