Several key figures in Massachusetts politics are facing difficult questions: Governor Baker, now facing calls for him to testify on Beacon Hill about the deaths of veterans at the Holyoke Soldier’s Home last year; former Boston Mayor Marty Walsh, whom embattled Police Commissioner Dennis White has said knew about domestic abuse allegations against him; and the Massachusetts Republican Party, now facing a reckoning over homophobic comments from a member of their state committee.

To discuss, Jim Braude was joined by Jennifer Nassour, former chair of the Massachusetts Republican party; and Michael Curry, the chair of the NAACP Advocacy and Policy Committee.

“All that Jim Lyons is doing at this point is making the Mass. GOP obsolete,” Nassour said about the party leader.
