Boston City Councilor Michelle Wu made history Tuesday night, soundly defeating her opponent Annissa Essaibi George to become the first woman, the first person of color and the first Asian American to be elected mayor of the city. Meredith Nierman, GBH’s director of photography, documented the scene at Wu's victory celebration in Boston, Mass.
