After more than a year of speculation, Boston City Councilor Michelle Wu officially announced last week that she will run for mayor of Boston in 2021. Although incumbent Mayor Marty Walsh has not yet announced whether he plans to run for re-election, pundits have noted that Boston has not ousted an incumbent mayor since 1949. Michelle Wu joined Jim Braude to discuss her campaign platform, which she describes as “grounded in community.”
