Longtime Massachusetts Sen. Ed Markey now faces a challenge from labor attorney Shannon Liss-Riordan, who has long represented workers in wage and labor disputes, including against Amazon and Uber. Liss-Riordan says she was inspired to run after witnessing the successful anti-incumbent victories of Rep. Ayanna Pressley and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and also after growing frustrated with the confirmation of new Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
To discuss her platform and her pitch to Massachusetts voters, Jim Braude was joined by Shannon Liss-Riordan.
