On Tuesday, 12 candidates for the Democratic nomination for president will meet for another debate in Westerville, Ohio. According to John King, CNN’s Chief National Political Correspondent, the impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump will be a major focal point in the debate.
“Impeachment is now front and center among the Democrats running for the Democrratic nomination,” King said. “Primaries are about the base, and the base wants Trump impeached. [So,] we’ll see how that conversation goes.”

While the large size of candidates on one stage will make it less likely for one to have a breakout moment, King said he is curious to see how Sen. Bernie Sanders will perform after recovering from a recent heart attack and if Sen. Elizabeth Warren will be able to take advantage of a strong amount of momentum going into the debate to surpass former Vice President Joe Biden as the leading candidate in the race.
