Chuck Todd, the moderator of "Meet The Press," host of "Meet the Press Daily" on MSNBC, and the political director for NBC News, loves to do more than just talk about politics. He likes to watch stand-up comedy, too — specifically, comedian John Mulaney.

He recently played a clip of Mulaney's Netflix special "Kid Gorgeous," in which Mulaney compares what he views as the absurdity of Donald Trump's presidency to having a horse loose in a hospital.

Todd told Boston Public Radio Thursday that he thought it was a "terrific premise."

"You're laughing out loud," Todd said "It's hard to do comedy in the Trump era. I think this does it better than anybody."
