A standoff at a North Philadelphia home on Wednesday left six police officers wounded, according to Philadelphia police officials.

Boston Public Radio asked Chuck Todd, the moderator of Meet The Press, host of Meet the Press Daily on MSNBC, and the political director for NBC News, if attacks against police might push Congress to pass gun reform.

Todd said change may be enacted if police across the country say they are tired of being outgunned on the streets. "I think they could become powerful advocates for change," he said.

"We as a public revere our first responders these days, certainly more so than we do politicians, so they could become important advocates," Todd continued.
