If you’ve got a question about politics, Bob Schieffer is the man to ask.
He has moderated several presidential debates, sat at the helm of both Face the Nation and The CBS Evening News, and, in 1963, he was the man who drove Lee Harvey Oswald’s mother to the police station after President Kennedy was shot.
Now he’s offering up his unvarnished views of the Trump Era.
I sat down with Schieffer — whose new book is entitled Overload: Finding the Truth in Today’s Deluge of News — to talk about the current political climate, whether the Republican and Democratic parties are coming apart, and how the media is covering this electric moment.
