Charlie Sennott talked about the latest news out of Ukraine, including Russia’s exit from Kiev and the UN’s removal of Russia from the Human Rights Commission. He also touched on potential next steps by the West to keep pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin. Sennott is a news analyst for GBH and CEO of the GroundTruth Project.
Shirley Leung discussed broader labor implications from Friday's Amazon grassroots union vote in Staten Island, N.Y. She also touched on her latest column about a new inclusive and affordable housing development in Roxbury. Leung is a business columnist for the Boston Globe.
Michael Curry offered thoughts on the confirmation hearings for Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson ahead of a final Senate vote this week. He also talked about lingering disparities in the impact of COVID-19 for BIPOC Bostonians. Curry is the president and CEO of the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers and a member of Gov. Charlie Baker’s COVID-19 vaccine advisory group. He’s also a member of the national NAACP board of directors and chair of the board’s advocacy and policy committee.
Meredith Goldstein recapped some of her most recent advice columns, weighing in on love between introverts and extroverts and what to do when a lover disappears unexpectedly for two or three days. Goldstein is an advice columnist and features writer for the Boston Globe. Her advice column, “Love Letters,” is a daily dispatch of wisdom for the lovelorn that has been running for more than a decade. She also hosts the “Love Letters” podcast.
