President Trump is extending a moratorium on H-1B visas for skilled workers, arguing the move will help stop the spread of COVID-19. On Wednesday, MIT economist Jonathan Gruber called in to Boston Public Radio to talk though all the avenues President Trump is using to try and curb immigration, and highlight how international workers and students fuel the U.S. economy.
Gruber is the Ford Professor of Economics at MIT. His latest book is ‘Jumpstarting America: How Breakthrough Science Can Revive Economic Growth and the American Dream.'
