NFL executives have stated that, as of now, the 2020 NFL season will move forward as planned, in September. But what happens if the season gets canceled or altered due to the coronavirus pandemic? Sports reporter Trenni Kusnierek joined Boston Public Radio on Tuesday to speak about whether quarterback Tom Brady will get to play for his new team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

"I think that's got to be a real concern for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers," she said. "You invest all this money into Tom Brady and he might never take a snap."

This 2020 season could be one the last seasons that older players, like Brady, have left to play, Kusnierek added.

"Not only does [Brady] have to contend with his age, but he's going into a whole new system, so he's not going to be able to work with his receivers and teammates this offseason," she said. "Especially for older players, this could have longstanding ramifications for people."
