Sports reporter Trenni Kusnierek spoke with Boston Public Radio on Thursday about Tom Brady's pseudoscience 'immunity boost plan' regarding COVID-19. Brady posted on Instagram this week referring people to immunity tips on his TB12 website.
"It's really disappointing, to use this time to profit off of what we're going through, and push something that has not been medically tested or proved to do anything," Kusnierek said. "I just think it's really dangerous, and this is the same guy who put his name and word behind a drink that supposedly helped you from feeling the effects of a concussion."
Kusnierek said that this type of advertising gives people a false sense of security.
"What you really need to be doing right now is staying indoors, socially distancing and doing all the things that doctors say you should be doing," she said. "Do not listen to a quarterback."
