Callie Crossley, host of WGBH News’ Under The Radar, joined Boston Public Radio on Friday to speak about the lack of diversity among Democratic presidential candidates after Sen. Kamala Harris and Julián Castro suspended their campaigns.
"The [Democratic] party has said of itself that they value diversity across the board," Crossley said. "But that must mean in leadership too, that cannot mean only when it comes time for folks to vote people in."
Leadership needs to better represent the country, Crossley added.
"On the other hand I've heard some analysts say folks of color are in and they've thrown their support to other folks, like Biden," she said. "But I do think it's a problem if the potential leadership is not reflected."
