On Wednesday, William B. Taylor, the former ambassador to Ukraine, and George P. Kent, the deputy assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs, testified in the first public hearings of the House’s impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump.
During their testimony, Trump tweeted, “NEVER TRUMPERS!” in reference to their testimonies, and seemed to question the political affiliations of both men. During an interview with Boston Public Radio on Thursday, Andrea Cabral, the former secretary of public safety and sheriff of Suffolk County, praised Taylor and Kent for their non-partisan nature and said they were “undeserving of being smeared and attacked.”
