Rep. Katie Hill of California resigned this week after some conservative outlets published intimate photos of her that she says were leaked by a controlling ex-husband, raising questions about how the media should report on stories that involve potential revenge porn. The issue was complicated by the fact that Hill was alleged to have been intimately involved with a Congressional staff member, which is a violation of ethics rules — a charge she denies.
