Jay-Z announced this week that he and his company Roc Nation will be partnering with the NFL as their "live music entertainment strategist,” according to the New York Times. There was an immediate backlash because of Jay-Z's outspoken support for former NFL player Colin Kaepernick and his previous refusal to preform in the Super Bowl halftime show because of the way the NFL treated him.

Callie Crossley, host of WGBH News’ Under The Radar, told Boston Public Radio Friday that she was in a state of shock over the announcement. “To say that I’m deeply disappointed is an understatement,” she said.
