President Joe Biden’s new infrastructure package includes funding for upgrading and modernizing roads, bridges and transportation systems across the nation that experts have long pointed to as posing real safety risks.
But his approach is more expansive than presidents before him, as his plan also includes investments in the care industries and human service sectors that make the country run. Can he sell this view to the public and to the Republicans in Congress whose help he will need to pass his legislative agenda?
