Dr. Vanessa Kerry, director of the Program in Global Public Policy and Social Change at Harvard Medical School, spoke with Boston Public Radio on Monday to give updates on the novel coronavirus.
"Massachusetts is certainly looking at it's peak in the next couple weeks," she said. "Everything we do today will help us get to the other side of this peak."
Our greatest challenge is identifying those who have, and carry, the virus, Kerry added.
"The biggest thing we're fighting against in this country is the fact that we do not have tests that scale, we do not know who is infected, we do not know therefore who they've been around and we don't know who may have already been infected and recovered," she said. "This is the biggest challenge we have.
Kerry is also the CEO of non-profit Seed Global Health.
