Christine Blasey Ford has said she wants the FBI to investigate her accusations of sexual assault, but the head of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Senator Chuck Grassley, has said it’s not the agency’s role to do so.
It may not seem like the biggest stretch of a request from Ford and her team, especially given the fact that she named another person who was in the room during the assault. But for a few key Republicans who have been teetering on the fence, it seems what happens Monday, and whether Ford shows up, could be a deciding factor.
