Joe also received the Edward R. Murrow Award for best newscast in a major market.

The Red Sox home opener was postponed yesterday due to the weather. But the rain has cleared and Fenway Park will welcome fans for the first time today in more than a year and a half. GBH Morning Edition host Joe Mathieu spoke with Red Sox President and CEO Sam Kennedy about the delayed start to the new season and how the park plans to keep the fans safe.
