Former state senator Ben Downing announced his Democratic candidacy for Massachusetts governor Monday, becoming the first candidate to officially enter the 2022 race. He joined Jim Braude to discuss his platform, which includes a focus on climate change, economic and racial inequality and a direct challenge to Gov. Charlie Baker’s leadership both before and during the pandemic.
