Friday is the deadline for states to submit their coronavirus vaccine distribution plans to the federal government. Although Gov. Baker has said that health care workers and nursing home residents will likely be the first groups to receive the shots, the details of the distribution plan in Massachusetts are yet to be revealed. Meanwhile, advocates for Black and Latino communities, non-medical essential workers, low-wage workers and others are pushing to ensure the final version of the state's plan is equitable. To discuss, Jim Braude was joined by Michael Curry, incoming president and CEO of the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers, who serves on Governor Baker’s COVID-19 Vaccine Advisory Board as well as two state committees focused on health and coronavirus equity.
