We heard from Shai Fuxman, senior research scientist at the Education Development Center, who is leading the state's educaton department in their Social and Emotional Learning and Mental Health Academy. Shai talked about what social and emotional learning is and how schools are adapting their typical strategies in teaching it for a not so typical fall.
Then, Michael Curry, deputy CEO of the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers, talked about the difficulties in building enough trust in communities of color so they participate in vaccine development and coronavirus treatment.
