WGBH Executive Arts Editor Jared Bowen spoke with Boston Public Radio on Wednesday to give updates on the arts community during the coronavirus pandemic.

"The Berkshires becomes a hub for the arts scene in Massachusetts, and for a lot of New Yorkers, during the summertime, but we're starting to see now that that's shutting down too, it's heartbreaking," he said. "Just yesterday the Williamstown Theatre Festival, which is one of the main anchors, decided that it's going to cancel it's summer season with live performances."

The Williamstown Theatre Festival will be presenting their 2020 summer season on Audible, an audio production platform, he noted.
