In tonight's "In It Together," we hear from Dr. Eric Dickson from UMass Memorial Health Care about his concerns with the growing coronavirus pandemic. Dr. Dickson said while the hospital has enough ventilators for now, it does not have enough personal protective gear, like masks.
Next, we hear how parents and teachers are coping with schools statewide now being closed until the beginning of May. Hayley Denker said she's balancing working from home and caring for her two toddlers. Boston Public School Superintendent Dr. Brenda Casselius said mental health is a top concern for students and teachers in her district as studying from home becomes business as usual this spring.
Finally, we hear from Dr. Robert Davey, who is studying the actual coronavirus in a lab in Boston. It's the only lab to have a sample of the virus to study in New England.
