Keith Lockhart, conductor of the Boston Pops Orchestra, joined Boston Public Radio on Monday to talk about the Holiday Pops 2019 season.
"The big piece this year is our own Boston Pops version of the Chris Van Allsburg story 'The Polar Express,' with the text and the incredible illustrations from that show projected and the music from Alan Slyvestri's score to the movie from 2005," Lockhart said. "It's a gorgeous story. It tells of the necessity of belief and it got me thinking about how many of our Christmas holiday stories are told through the lens of children."
