Celtics center Enes Kanter has long used his platform as a professional athlete to bring attention to the political oppression of Turkish President Recep Erdogan, whom President Donald Trump recently heavily praised during a White House press conference. Kanter's efforts haven’t come without sacrifice, as he is unable to return to Turkey and has not seen his family for years, but he says it is worth it to raise awareness and fight for those living back home.
