Trenni Kusnierek, an anchor and reporter with NBC Sports Boston, joined Boston Public Radio Thursday to break down why the Bruins lost.
"I would put the largest amount of blame on their top two lines. At the end of the day their star players … all of those guys didn’t come up when they needed them to come up biggest," she said. "They just couldn’t get it done."
Kusnierek does not think this current line up of the Bruins will be able to get this close to winning another Stanley Cup.
"This was their best chance for this group to win another Stanley Cup and they blew it," she said. "There is no other way to look at it, they blew it."
