Transit police in Massachusetts are looking for a group of men who appeared to be Boston Bruins fans they say “viciously beat” and seriously injured a man at a trolley stop.
Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority police say the attack occurred at the North Quincy Station at about midnight Friday. The assault came just hours after the Bruins beat the Carolina Hurricanes 5-2 in game 1 of the Stanley Cup Eastern Conference finals. At least three of the five suspects in surveillance images released by police are wearing Bruins clothing.
Police say the victim suffered facial fractures.
Police did not disclose any motive for the attack.
Authorities are asking anyone who recognizes the suspects to contact them.
