In a new public art exhibit in Kenmore Square, the Gilded Age comes back to life.
Artist Liz Glynn's work "Open House" features 26 pieces of concrete furniture and architectural features, which together take the shape of an opulent private ballroom of the late 19th century.
This installation, which is on exhibit at the Commonwealth Avenue Mall until November, was made possible by the public art curator Now + There. Kate Gilbert, founder and Director of Now + There and Cher Krause Knight, a professor at Emerson College and member of Now + There’s advisory board, joined Boston Public Radio's Friday News Quiz to discuss "Open House" and other public art coming soon to Boston.
