On election night, President Obama assured the nation that no matter who won, the sun would still rise—and for anyone who spends winter in New England, you know we rely on the rising sun as much as we rely on the Holiday Pops  for continuity. 

"Traditions are about going back to them and grabbing on and going, 'thank God you're still here.' That's what we'd like to provide this holiday season," Keith Lockhart—conductor of the Pops—told Boston Public Radio.
