Taped by the WGBH Forum Network, MIT Media Lab researcher David Rose visited the Harvard Book Store to discuss his book, Enchanted Objects: Design, Human Desire, and the Internet of Things.
Rose presented several examples of smart objects that currently exist - from forks that tell us to eat slower, to umbrellas that know when it will rain, to mirrors that remember outfits we've already tried on. Rose says the future of these objects will be not only in their utility, but their ability to feel "friendly."
