Taped by WGBH Forum Network, professor Christopher Emdin visited Simmons College to talk about how to teach science to kids of the hip-hop culture.

Emdin discusses a new pedagogy for engaging students that have what Emdin calls, the "ice grill," and how to melt their facade.  He explains how an understanding of social capital and how to use it can help drive new discussions and avenues to teach students science.
