If you’ve been following the casino sweepstakes here in Eastern Massachusetts, you probably weren’t surprised Revere voters approved a gambling resort on the 43 acres of Suffolk Downs within their city’s limits.
The margin was significant, with 63 percent voting in favor of the proposal by Mohegan Sun, but it was not as overwhelming as a similar referendum in Everett, where 90 percent of voters approved a casino plan from Las Vegas mogul Steve Wynn.
